I am a UI Designer scheduled to finish the CareerFoundry program in the fall. Previously I worked as a Project Supervisor in a small family-owned commercial construction company for 14 years. I wore multiple hats that included on-site foreman, project estimator, client liaison, and many more depending on the demands of that particular day. One of my favorite parts of working in construction was connecting with the clients and ensuring that their needs were met. Thinking about the end user and developing user personas has come naturally and I believe that user centered design is the main focus of any project.

The coursework at CareerFoundry has made me realize how much I enjoy the entire design process. From developing user flows to creating style guides, I have learned something new every day and that inspires me to continue my education. My attention to detail leads me to continuously work to improve the design. I look forward to working in a team where I can collaborate with others.

When not sitting in front of my computer working or playing Destiny, I love to try out new BBQ joints with my wife, Liz, or spending time outside with my dog, Prudence.
